Ashley Burton
On April 11th, 2023 in Atlanta, GA, Ashley Burton, a 37-year-old Black transwoman, was shot to death after an altercation in her Atlanta apartment complex. Darius Mills, 31, is charged with her murder and robbery, with no hate crime indication. Despite a fight for her life, investigators don’t believe her identity was the motive.
